Overview
Why buyers choose it
-
65 mm tall
Fits a box that will not close over a standard meter, which is the usual reason a meter ends up unreadable.
-
No metrological compromise
The same dry, vacuum-sealed, magnetically driven register as the full-height meters.
-
Pulse output available
1 or 10 litres per pulse, so a low-profile position is not a dead end for automation.
-
Painted or nickel coated
Chosen for how wet the box gets, not for how the meter looks in a catalogue.
In detail
At 65 mm from the pipe centreline this is the shallowest meter in the single-jet range, and that is what it is for. Meter boxes, riser cupboards and under-sink positions are usually short of height rather than length, and a meter that will not close the lid gets installed somewhere it cannot be read.
Losing the height costs nothing metrologically: the register is dry, vacuum sealed and magnetically driven like the taller meters, with five or eight number wheels, and the brass body can be painted or nickel coated. Nominal flows are 1.5 and 2.5 m³/h at DN15 and DN20.
It is declared to ISO 4064:1993 in accuracy class B, with a pulse output of 1 or 10 litres per pulse available and a remote transmission device fitted on request.

How a meter of this type is built, and what this model is made of.
-
Lid
Caps the register and keeps water and debris off the dial.
-
Register
Totalises and displays the water passed.
Register type Single jet, dry dial, vacuum sealed
-
Register seal
Seals the register housing against water ingress.
-
Measuring chamber
Directs the single tangential jet onto the impeller.
-
Impeller
Turns with the jet of water and drives the register.
-
Strainer
Screens out grit and debris before the measuring element.
-
Body
Houses the measuring element and carries the flow.
Body material Brass, painted or nickel coated
-
Tailpieces / connections
Threaded couplings that join the meter to the pipework.
