Overview
Why buyers choose it
-
Dual-stage valve control
High-flow then fine-flow valves, so the batch stops on the set quantity.
-
Several inputs
Pulse or frequency, 4–20 mA flow or DP, 4–20 mA pressure and Pt100.
-
Outputs for the plant
Changeover relay, 4–20 mA retransmission and RS-485.
-
Programmable sequence
The valve sequence is set in a user configuration and tuned on site.
In detail
A batch controller is given a quantity, told to start, and closes the valves when that quantity has been delivered. This unit does that from a flow meter's signal, and it is also a flow totaliser and indicator in its own right.
Accuracy at the end of a batch comes from dual-stage valve control: a high-flow valve delivers most of the quantity quickly and a fine-flow valve finishes it. The sequence of the two is set in a user-programmable configuration that can be tuned to the application and the conditions on site, and the programme is selectable.
Its terminals take a pulse or frequency flow signal, a 4–20 mA flow or differential-pressure signal, a 4–20 mA pressure signal and a Pt100 temperature sensor. It drives a changeover relay, retransmits on 4–20 mA and communicates over RS-485.
It runs from 230 V AC and measures 160 × 85 × 95 mm, with an LCD and a keypad on the front.
