Overview
Why buyers choose it
-
The counter never touches the water
A magnetic coupling drives a sealed dry register, so silt and corrosion never reach the number wheels.
-
Not fooled by a magnet
The drive is shielded against external magnetic fields, which closes the most common domestic tampering route.
-
Dial turns to the reader
360° rotation means the meter is fitted to suit the pipe and still read without a mirror.
-
Sealed for revenue
Supplied with wire and lead seal, so the installation is defensible when the bill is questioned.
In detail
A dry dial keeps the register out of the water altogether. The impeller drives it through a magnetic coupling, so the counter never sees the water it is measuring — no silt on the wheels, no corrosion on the spindle, and nothing to fog when the chamber is cold and the water is colder.
The register is vacuum sealed and rotates through 360°, so the meter goes in to suit the pipe and the dial is turned to face whoever has to read it. It is unaffected by external magnetic fields, which on a domestic scheme is the difference between a tamper-resistant meter and a meter with a known trick.
It covers DN15 to DN40 with permanent flows from 2.5 to 25 m³/h, holds class 2 accuracy across an R160 turndown, and is rated to 16 bar and 50 °C. A non-return valve is available where backflow into the main is a concern, and it is provided with wire and lead seal for revenue work.

Parts
Parts of a multi-jet meter
How a meter of this type is built, and what this model is made of.
-
Lid
Caps the register and keeps water and debris off the dial.
-
Register
Totalises and displays the water passed.
Register type Multi jet, dry dial, vacuum sealed
-
Register ring / seal
Seals the register housing against water ingress.
-
Measuring chamber insert (with jets)
Directs several jets onto the impeller from multiple sides for balanced, even wear.
-
Impeller
Turns with the combined jets and drives the register.
-
Strainer
Screens out grit and debris before the measuring element.
-
Body
Houses the measuring element and carries the flow.
