Overview

Why buyers choose it

  • Survives a second fitting

A brass body takes being cut out and refitted where a plastic one cracks on the way back in.

  • Eight number wheels

The dial does not roll over inside a normal service life, so consumption history stays readable.

  • Frost resistant

The vacuum-sealed register survives the cold that splits a wet dial in an uninsulated box.

  • Pulse output available

1 or 10 litres per pulse, fitted on request, so the meter is not a dead end for automation.

In detail

The standard-pattern brass single-jet at DN15 and DN20, 110 mm between faces and 90 mm high, with an eight-wheel dry register that will not roll over inside a normal service life.

Brass is specified here for a plain reason: it is the body a water authority will accept in a box that floods, and it is the body that survives being cut out and refitted rather than cracking on the second installation. The register is vacuum sealed and frost resistant, and the drive is magnetic, so the counter never contacts the water.

Nominal flows are 1.5 and 2.5 m³/h, the meter is rated to 16 bar, and it is declared to ISO 4064:1993 in accuracy class B. A remote transmission device can be fitted on request, with a pulse output of 1 or 10 litres per pulse.

Illustrative: how a meter of this type is built. This model's own materials and figures are in the table and its specifications.
  1. Lid

Caps the register and keeps water and debris off the dial.

  2. Register

Totalises and displays the water passed.

Register type Single jet, dry dial, vacuum sealed

  3. Register seal

Seals the register housing against water ingress.

  4. Measuring chamber

Directs the single tangential jet onto the impeller.

  5. Impeller

Turns with the jet of water and drives the register.

  6. Strainer

Screens out grit and debris before the measuring element.

  7. Body

Houses the measuring element and carries the flow.

Body material Brass, painted or nickel coated

  8. Tailpieces / connections

Threaded couplings that join the meter to the pipework.
