Overview
Why buyers choose it
-
Over the mobile network
Readings travel over GSM/GPRS, with no cable back to a control room.
-
Flow rate and total flow
The meter's parameters reach the logger, not just a consumption count.
-
Four-wire hook-up
12 V, ground and RS-485 A/B to the meter.
In detail
This modem takes a flow meter off the walk-round. It sits with the meter, reads it, and sends the consumption data over GSM/GPRS, so the readings are collected, stored and analysed at a data logger instead of being written down on site.
It passes on the meter's parameters, flow rate and total flow among them, so the record at the logger shows how the flow moved as well as how much went through.
Four wires connect it: a 12 V supply and its ground, and the two RS-485 lines, A and B, to the meter. The antenna mounts on the enclosure and the cable enters through a gland.
