Overview
Why buyers choose it
-
Telemetry without a shutdown
The sensor is already fitted, so adding remote reading later is a clip-on job rather than cutting a DN200 meter out of the line.
-
Inductive, not magnetic
Counts come from an inductive pickup, so a magnet held against the body does not add volume to the register.
-
R160 turndown
Accuracy holds from Q3/160 upward, which is where a district line's overnight flow sits.
-
Sealed to IP68
The register is hermetically sealed and still readable after a chamber has flooded.
In detail
This is the flanged R160 Woltman built with the inductive sensor already fitted, so the meter leaves the factory ready to be read remotely. Mechanically it is the same meter as the standard R160: DN50 to DN200, permanent flow 40 to 630 m³/h, class 2 accuracy across an R160 turndown.
The difference is what happens eighteen months after commissioning. Retrofitting a pulse sender to a plain mechanical meter usually means taking the meter out of the line, and on a DN200 bulk connection that is a shutdown, a crane and a permit. A pre-equipped register accepts the sender as a clip-on part, so a district that is metered today can be telemetered later without touching the pipework.
The sensor is inductive rather than magnetic, so an external magnet held against the body does not generate counts. The register itself stays hermetically sealed to IP68 and still rotates through 360° for reading from the chamber's access side.
